Sports journalist and presenter Angela Pippos has taken a hammer to sexism in sport with her latest book Breaking the Mould.
The Caulfield resident said the odds have been stacked against women in sport for so long that sexism and inequality almost seemed part of the rules.
“The book looks at the rise of women in sport. To do that we have to look at obstacles, so it took me back to ancient Greece which gives us a lot of the answers,” Pippos said.
“Sport and masculinity have been doing a merry dance for centuries.”
But she said the tides were changing.
Pippos is holding a free presentation at Glen Eira Town Hall on Tuesday, June 20, at 7pm.
